The prospect of Russian steel industry is expected to be dim after joining WTO, according to Russian news network on July 20.

It is also reported that the average profit in Russian steel industry in 2012 has declined by 17% to only 12% since 2007. On the contrary, the cost has increased by 5.6 times, compared to the same period of 2001. However, the steel price only boosts by 3.9 times in this period.

In general, the profit of Russian steel industry could be worse in next few years with increasing charges on natural gas, electricity and land transportation.
